How To unlock 360 N4s bootloader, TWRP and Root Guide

The Chinese 360 company, originally born with the QiKu brand, is by no means one of the most open to the world of modding. Even relatively straightforward actions such as unlocking the bootloader and installing a TWRP recovery (required for example to get root permissions or installing a custom ROM) become particularly cumbersome for the devices of this manufacturer. In the case of the 360 N4s MediaTek version, however, the community found a way to achieve these goals: here is the complete procedure!

During this tutorial, we will use SP Flash tool developed by MediaTek to upgrade and unbrick the Chinese chip maker’s SoC-based devices to install a preloader that allows bootloader unlocking via the usual fast-boot commands. Later, using the same tool, we will execute the TWRP recovery flash that will eventually be exploited to get the root permissions.

360 N4s: unlock bootloader, TWRP and root permissions Guide

The guide does not require special pre requisites but uses programs available exclusively for Windows PCs. We also note that it is essential, in order to successfully process the process, to enable OEM unlock from the developer settings and run the first boot in recovery after the TWRP flash to prevent the system from restoring the original recovery.

IMPORTANT: The procedure described in this guide has complex operations that, if done incorrectly, could damage your device. It is recommended to run only from users who have had a good experience in the Android modding field. GeekAxe staff will not be held liable for any damage to the device.
