Samsung – one of the few manufacturers who did not go to the bright side did not release a smartphone with a cut-out on the screen. And how can this be supposed in general, because the South Korean company, for a minute, is the main competitor to Apple? But, it seems, Samsung is still considering this option. This is evidenced by a new patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO).

As informs resource Mobielkopen, from Samsung the application for a smartphone with a cut-out in the top part of the screen, as at iPhone X. Judging by the images, the device is virtually devoid of frames, and in the cutout area, there are sensors, a speaker, and a front camera. On the back, there is a horizontally located double chamber. The fingerprint scanner is not there, it gives reason to believe that it is built into the screen. There is also a USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top side face and a SIM card tray on the bottom.

Here is another Samsung patent for a full-screen smartphone without a 3.5 mm connector. On it, you can not see the microphone and the SIM card tray.

As you know, the patent application does not mean that the manufacturer will certainly release exactly such a device. Sometimes this can be a separate concept, and in most cases, patents still remain in the archives. We hope, before the implementation of the next flagship Galaxy with the “bang”, it will not work.
